"This past Sunday was my 43rd wedding anniversary. Carolyn and I started our day with church and then had lunch with our children and grandchildren. It was a wonderful time of reflecting on God’s work in our lives. As I looked back over the years, I was reminded that our acts of obedience bound with prayer have opened the windows of Heaven for us. Let me give you just one example.
Years ago God directed me to go to Mexico and stay at a certain hotel. I was simply to walk and pray for two days. It was an odd assignment, but I obeyed. God said He would open up Africa if I would obey Him. On the second day, a man and woman were walking past me. Suddenly, from my spirit leapt the words, “I will help you with your prayer concerning the African president.” The woman turned to the man beside her in total shock. She later told me that just moments before, she had said to him, “How can we arrange for a national press conference for President Musevani of Uganda? He has just come into office. It is impossible.”
I learned that the man and woman were Maureen Reagan Revell and her husband, Dennis. She was the daughter of President Ronald Reagan. We had never met, but I instantly said, “I will set it up for you.” I had the privilege of leading President Musevani of Uganda to the Lord Jesus Christ. You may have seen the news recently that he publicly went before his nation and repented of his personal sins and the sins of the nation—based on the scripture from II Chronicles 7:14. He asked God’s presence and His help to pray and then to act.
When we do what God says, He does amazing things. There is no doubt in my mind that God has decreed the Jerusalem World Center—and invited us to be part of it. "Let me encourage you today from a Scripture I read in my devotions, Isaiah 43:18. The King James Version says, “Remember not the former things.” The Living Bible says, “Forget all of that!”
Former things to me represent pain, disappointment, and difficulties. There were a lot of things in my life that didn't go the way I thought they should. The Lord says, “That is nothing compared to what I am going to do. I am going to do a brand new thing. See! I have already begun. Don't you see it? I will make a road through the wilderness for My people to go home. I will create rivers for them in the desert.”
God has fulfilled that promise to the Jewish people 100 percent. Today the land of Israel, which once was a desert place, is fruitful and abounding. My question to you today is this: Will you allow Him to fulfill that promise in your life? Do you want to see God make way in your wilderness…and rivers in your desert?
This Scripture jumped off the page for me when I was going through a wilderness and desert in my own life. I circled this Scripture and wrote these words by it: “Look around and be distressed. Look within and be depressed. Look to Jesus and be at rest.” That Scripture encouraged me, and I vowed at that moment to stop having a pity party and do something great for God with my funds and with my time. I stopped thinking and talking about how big my mountain was and began to think and talk about how big my God was. I can tell you with all certainty that faith turns the head of God and moves the hand of God. I've seen it happen again and again in my life.
One of the first things I did was to give a very generous offering to the Lord—an offering large enough to get His attention. I said, “Lord, I am giving myself as a living sacrifice to serve. What do you want me to do?” It was in response to that gift that God directed me to Israel where I met Menachem Begin and Benjamin Netanyahu, and the course of my life and ministry were set.

"There is no question that Israel is at war. The Jerusalem Prayer Team is uniquely positioned to help meet the urgent needs of the Jewish people at this crisis moment. Because of our long history of meeting needs in Israel, the people there know we can be trusted and depended on to respond. I need your help today to meet this crisis need.
The terrorist attacks from Gaza, which Israel’s military is desperately trying to stop, are reaching further and further into Israel. Warning sirens sounded in Tel Aviv—forty miles from the Gaza border—as at least two Iranian-made long-range rockets were fired at Israel’s largest city. The escalation has led to the mobilization of Israeli ground forces. Though the government of Israel has tried to avoid direct ground intervention, it may prove to be necessary to halt the increasing violence against Israeli civilians.
At the heart of the problem is the unwillingness of Hamas and other terrorist groups to accept the right of Israel to exist. The Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel. This is not some splinter band of radicals taking action against the will of the majority; this is the Palestinian plan for Israel…for the Jewish people to be killed and Israel destroyed.
We must stand against this great evil. My heart breaks at the suffering the people of Israel are enduring. Children can’t go to school, and parents must either leave them alone at home or miss work. There is just 15 seconds warning of an attack on southern Israel—just fifteen seconds to find shelter before the missiles strike. I will never forget talking to one Israeli mother during the last round of increased attacks who told me she never went out with both of her children because she couldn’t be sure of getting them both into a shelter in time. It’s a tragedy.
Together we can show the Jewish people that they are not alone and abandoned in these difficult days. Together we can give them the help and hope they so desperately need. It is wonderful to know that no matter how difficult circumstances may be today—politically, socially, militarily, emotionally, economically—our God reigns. Our future is bright. You and I are part of something that has eternal significance in the city on which the spotlight of Heaven shines. Heaven and earth met in Jerusalem, and will meet again. Everything began prophetically and will end in the only city in the world in which God wrote His name.
What a joy it is to focus on things of eternal value and to live our lives in the light of eternity. In Psalm 102:16, it says, “When the Lord shall build up Zion, then shall He appear in His glory.” I just have to think that what you and I are doing in Jerusalem is building up Zion. Isaiah declared, “The Word of the Lord will go from Zion. The law will go out from Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3).
That prophecy will be fulfilled in the Jerusalem World Center as the Word of the Lord goes to all the nations of the earth. Be encouraged today. Will you cast your prophetic vote in favor of God’s purposes with your gift today?

Israel launched rockets into Syria in response to Syrian army shelling of the Golan Heights—for the first time in nearly forty years.
Iran conducted a major military war games exercise and unveiled a new advanced missile defense system.
Hamas terrorists in Gaza have launched hundreds of rockets and mortars into southern Israeli towns and villages.
Egyptian leaders are threatening to “amend” the peace treaty with Israel.
All of these events and more highlight the vital and urgent need for prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. As we continue to pray faithfully and fervently for the safety and protection of Israel and the Jewish people, we must do so in faith. It is wonderful to know that no matter how difficult circumstances may be today—politically, socially, physically, emotionally, economically—our God reigns. Our future is bright. "God will deliver you from EVERY fear" by Mike Evans
Jerusalem Prayer Team
"Today I read in Jeremiah 1:10, 12, 14, 17 during my devotions: “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.... for I will hasten my word to perform it.... Out of the north an evil shall break forth.... be not dismayed at their faces.” In verse 8, Jeremiah wrote, “For I am with thee to deliver thee.” Verse 19 records, “They shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.”
Please join me in standing on that Scripture today. I know what it is to be afraid of faces. As a child, I was so fearful that I would not look anyone in the eye. I walked with my head bowed all the time. I could not even look at my father because of fear. But God delivered me from all my fears.
Many years ago, God spoke to me to go to the north of Israel where Hezbollah was entrenched in Lebanon to preach the Gospel. I was told by Israeli intelligence that if I did, I would be killed. I knew the Lord had sent me and would protect me—and He did. After preaching the Gospel in Sidon, I went down to Beirut to distribute Gideon Bibles to the Marines and share the Word and pray with them. That night, as I prepared to sleep on the beachhead, I thought about an 18-year-old Marine from Wooster, Massachusetts, whom I had led to Christ. His last words to me that evening had been, “Please tell Mom that her prayer has been answered. I've given my life to the Lord as my personal Savior.”
Early the next morning, the area was rocked by a huge explosion as Hezbollah terrorists targeted the barracks with a truck bomb. Two hundred and forty-one troops were killed in the attack. We left Beirut in the Avis vehicle which I had rented in Jerusalem. Driving down a dirt road towards Israel, we came under fire from terrorist organizations in the area. As 135mm shells fell around the car, I realized ours was the only vehicle on the road, and it was a rental car with distinctive Jerusalem license plates. Spotlights were playing across the vehicle as night descended. We ran out of fuel, and it looked as if we would be killed.
As we prayed, a young man who looked Arabic knocked on the window and held up a gas can. There were no homes or villages near where we had coasted to a stop. He poured the container of fuel into the vehicle, came back to the window, and pointed to the button. I unlocked the door, and he climbed into the car. Without saying a word, he pointed in the direction we were to drive and calmly led us 32 kilometers to the border of Israel. There is no way I could have found it without his help. A few yards before the border, he held up his hand indicating that I should stop. He opened the door and stepped out of the car. The colonel at the border said to me, “I informed the prime minister's office that you had died. I didn't think there was any possibility you could have survived.”
I turned and pointed to the man who had saved our lives and said, “We are alive because of him.” No one was there! You will never know how many angels God has assigned to protect you, the amazing things they have done on your behalf, and will do even today. Those who fight against you shall not prevail, for the Lord is with you to deliver you.

"Today I read in Jeremiah 1:10, 12, 14, 17 during my devotions: “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.... for I will hasten my word to perform it.... Out of the north an evil shall break forth.... be not dismayed at their faces.” In verse 8, Jeremiah wrote, “For I am with thee to deliver thee.” Verse 19 records, “They shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.”
Please join me in standing on that Scripture today. I know what it is to be afraid of faces. As a child, I was so fearful that I would not look anyone in the eye. I walked with my head bowed all the time. I could not even look at my father because of fear. But God delivered me from all my fears.
Many years ago, God spoke to me to go to the north of Israel where Hezbollah was entrenched in Lebanon to preach the Gospel. I was told by Israeli intelligence that if I did, I would be killed. I knew the Lord had sent me and would protect me—and He did. After preaching the Gospel in Sidon, I went down to Beirut to distribute Gideon Bibles to the Marines and share the Word and pray with them. That night, as I prepared to sleep on the beachhead, I thought about an 18-year-old Marine from Wooster, Massachusetts, whom I had led to Christ. His last words to me that evening had been, “Please tell Mom that her prayer has been answered. I've given my life to the Lord as my personal Savior.”
Early the next morning, the area was rocked by a huge explosion as Hezbollah terrorists targeted the barracks with a truck bomb. Two hundred and forty-one troops were killed in the attack. We left Beirut in the Avis vehicle which I had rented in Jerusalem. Driving down a dirt road towards Israel, we came under fire from terrorist organizations in the area. As 135mm shells fell around the car, I realized ours was the only vehicle on the road, and it was a rental car with distinctive Jerusalem license plates. Spotlights were playing across the vehicle as night descended. We ran out of fuel, and it looked as if we would be killed.
As we prayed, a young man who looked Arabic knocked on the window and held up a gas can. There were no homes or villages near where we had coasted to a stop. He poured the container of fuel into the vehicle, came back to the window, and pointed to the button. I unlocked the door, and he climbed into the car. Without saying a word, he pointed in the direction we were to drive and calmly led us 32 kilometers to the border of Israel. There is no way I could have found it without his help. A few yards before the border, he held up his hand indicating that I should stop. He opened the door and stepped out of the car. The colonel at the border said to me, “I informed the prime minister's office that you had died. I didn't think there was any possibility you could have survived.”
I turned and pointed to the man who had saved our lives and said, “We are alive because of him.” No one was there! You will never know how many angels God has assigned to protect you, the amazing things they have done on your behalf, and will do even today. Those who fight against you shall not prevail, for the Lord is with you to deliver you.

“As the lions roar, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will deliver it. Passing over, He will preserve it” (Isaiah 31:4-5).
Each time I read this Scripture, my heart leaps with joy. That is precisely what I have been doing for almost forty years—defending Jerusalem. I have stood up to terrorists face-to-face, men such as Yasser Arafat whom I confronted at the 43rd General Assembly of the United Nations. I've stood up to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, president of Iran, face-to-face in New York City at the United Nations.
For thirty-three years I have been writing books in defense of Israel. I have just completed my forty-first book. We have also produced eighteen television documentaries in defense of Israel. The Corrie ten Boom Holocaust Center in Haarlem, Holland has been part of our ministry since 1987 when we purchased it and restored it. I have served as chairman of the board since that time. Thanks to the Jerusalem Prayer Team, no one has ever had to pay a dime to visit the museum since it opened to the public.
I can see the faces of thousands of precious people in Israel that we have helped—children, Holocaust survivors, and more. At this moment, there is only one bomb shelter in the nation with air-conditioning, heating, a kitchen, Internet, bathrooms, and television. It is one of the largest bomb shelters in Jerusalem, and the JPT restored it and made a community center for Holocaust survivors.
What a blessing it is to realize that God is rewarding you for what you are doing for Jerusalem: “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee. And in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6).
Israel is God's dream. We are called to be part of His team. The title deed belongs to God Almighty. When God made His eternal promise to Israel, there was no United Nations, only pagan nations to challenge that dream and to challenge God and His Word. To be apathetic towards God's Divine plan and eternal purpose as a Christian means to reject the Great Commission: “...you shall be a witness unto me in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and in Samaria...” (Acts 1:8). God's prophetic time clock is set on Jerusalem time. The spotlight of Heaven is still on Jerusalem. It all began there, and it will all end there.
Jerusalem is the only city for which God commands us to pray and commands a blessing on those who do. The Jerusalem Prayer Team is the largest intercessory movement in the world for the Jewish people and the city of Jerusalem. It is our Divine commission to bless the Jewish people.
Jesus said, “...truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine [The Jews], you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). I can hear the Lion of the Tribe of Judah roaring.
May the powers of hell hear the roar of God's people today—you—declaring that the “people who do know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32). We will defend, deliver, and preserve Jerusalem. All roads lead to Jerusalem, and according to Isaiah 14, Satan has launched the greatest battle on earth from the Holy City.
The destiny of America and the world is linked to Jerusalem. It is the epicenter of spiritual warfare and affects the entire world. If our Lord and Savior reached out in compassion to Israel and made Jerusalem His highest priority, do we dare not make it ours?
There is a direct correlation between the power that Heaven promises and our obedience to the Great Commission. The fifth verse of Isaiah 31 declares, “Like birds hovering overhead, the Almighty will shield Jerusalem.” I've seen birds flying like a mighty shield over the city of Jerusalem. The scripture says, “He will shield it and deliver it. He will pass over it, and He will rescue it.”
You are the hands of the Lord, and you are His voice, preserving Jerusalem. Let the Lion of the Tribe of Jerusalem roar loudly through you today.
As we continue to pray daily and fervently for the safety and protection of Israel and the Jewish people, we must do so in faith. It is wonderful to know that no matter how difficult circumstances may be today—politically, socially, physically, emotionally, economically—our God reigns. Our future is bright. I’ve never been more aware of that than today, as we are approaching the next payment on the Jerusalem World Center. You and I will soon be the owners of the largest property in Israel that is privately-owned by a US-based Bible-believing ministry!
This five-story building is not even 500 yards from the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. In days to come, it will be the intercessory center for millions of Christians who will come from every nation on earth to pray 24 hours a day. It will also be home to the first Christian museum in the nation of Israel to tell the story of Christian love, and so much more.
You and I are part of something that has eternal significance in the city on which the spotlight of heaven shines. Everything began prophetically and will end in the only city in the world in which God wrote His name.
What a joy it is to focus on things of eternal value and to live our lives in the light of eternity. In Psalm 102:16, it says, “When the Lord shall build up Zion, then shall He appear in His glory.” I just have to think that what you and I are doing in Jerusalem is building up Zion. Isaiah declared, “The Word of the Lord will go from Zion. The law will go out from Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3).
That prophecy will be fulfilled in the Jerusalem World Center as the Word of the Lord goes to all the nations of the earth. Be encouraged today. Will you cast your prophetic vote in favor of God’s purposes with your gift today?

What a joy it is to focus on things of eternal value and to live our lives in the light of eternity. In Psalm 102:16, it says, “When the Lord shall build up Zion, then shall He appear in His glory.” I just have to think that what you and I are doing in Jerusalem is building up Zion. Isaiah declared, “The Word of the Lord will go from Zion. The law will go out from Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3).
That prophecy will be fulfilled in the Jerusalem World Center as the Word of the Lord goes to all the nations of the earth. Be encouraged today. Will you cast your prophetic vote in favor of God’s purposes with your gift today?
Jerusalem is Ground Zero for spiritual warfare in our world. This wonderful facility in the Holy City will be a lasting witness of God’s love to the Jewish people and a center of ministry and outreach to them that will truly be life changing. We have made every payment on the building so far—all praise and glory to God—but we must make another payment of $777,777 this month.
