Christian ministry in Jerusalem is moving forward

"There are three trees planted at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem for Casper ten Boom and Corrie and Betsie, but the truth is that very few people in Israel today know their story of courage, sacrifice, and love. Because I am the Chairman of the Board of the Corrie ten Boom Museum, I had the privilege of speaking at the ceremony when Casper and Betsie were honored in this special way.
When I finished speaking, a Jewish woman walked up and told me that she was one of the more than 800 Jewish people saved from Holocaust by the ten Booms. She recounted how her mother went and knocked on the door of their home and clock shop to ask for help. Casper ten Boom came to the door, listened to her plea, and then said, “I must ask God.” He went back inside, and she asked her mother, “Does God live in that house?” Casper came back and invited them in, and her life was spared as a result.

You and I know this wonderful story because of the great book Corrie wrote and the movie Dr. Billy Graham made from it—The Hiding Place. But my heart is filled with the burning desire to make sure this message is taken across Israel so that the Jewish people see and hear this unmistakable message of Christian love in action…and I need your help.
TOUR THE TEN BOOM HOME AND THE HIDING PLACE

This is the reason we are working so hard to bring the Christian Zionist Heritage Center to life. We must tell the story of the ten Booms—and so many other wonderful stories of love, sacrifice, courage, support and devotion—to the nation of Israel. Most Jewish people have never seen an act of kindness from a Christian. Most of them think, as my Jewish mother did, that Christians are the source of hatred, persecution, and even death.

You and I know that this is not true, but they will not hear unless we tell them. Your gift today to support the Jerusalem Prayer Team will help us make the Christian Zionist Heritage Center a reality—and touch the future of the entire nation by changing the way they view Christians and showing them God’s love in action. We cannot do this without you. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.
When you send your gift of any amount today, we will send you a DVD of the virtual tour of the ten Boom home and clock shop in Haarlem, Holland. You will be able to see and hear the story of the “Hiding Place” in a powerful new way.
With your gift of $40 or more, we will also send you this bookmark, Corrie’s book The Hiding Place, and this special Corrie ten Boom notebook. Filled with information about Corrie’s life and family and their work, along with pages reproduced from one of her journals, including one of her favorite poems, it is a treasure you will cherish.
If you are able to send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you the DVD and this special commemorative Jerusalem Prayer Team clock. Prepared especially for our friends and supporters, this beautiful timepiece harkens back to the ten Boom’s heritage as clockmakers and links you to our continuing of their work on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people.
Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team allows us to continue our work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.
Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.

Dr. Mike Evans"

A horrible betrayal…but it’s only part of the story

"Sixty-nine years ago this week, Corrie ten Boom and her family were betrayed to the Gestapo. Their courageous work that had saved the lives of more than 800 Jewish people from the Holocaust was stopped as the police raided the family home and clock shop. The ten Booms were arrested, but thanks to God’s protection, the Jewish people safe in the “Hiding Place” behind the wall of Corrie’s bedroom closet were spared. They huddled in fear for several days before finally being rescued.
The Gestapo arrested the members of the ten Boom family and others who visited the home during the day. In total, about 30 people were taken to Scheverningen Prison. The policeman told Casper ten Boom who was 84 years of age they would let him go home if he promised to stop his rescue work. He said, “If I go home today, tomorrow I will open my door to anyone who knocks for help.” When told he could die for what he had done, he replied, “It would be an honor to give my life for God’s Chosen People.” Just ten days later, Casper died at the Hague Municipal Hospital.

Casper ten Boom, Corrie’s father
Betsie ten Boom died at the dreaded Ravensbruck death camp in December of 1944. Willem ten Boom, Corrie’s brother, survived the war but died shortly after from tuberculosis contracted while in prison. Christiaan ten Boom, a nephew of the family, perished at the Bergen Belsen death camp, and Corrie ten Boom survived only because a “clerical error” released her from camp just days before all the remaining female prisoners were executed.

The tragedy is that while virtually every Jewish person knows the story of Anne Frank, almost none of them know the story of the ten Booms. There are three trees planted at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem for Casper ten Boom and Corrie and Betsie, but few know their story of courage, sacrifice, and love. Because I am the Chairman of the Board of the Corrie ten Boom Museum, I had the privilege of speaking at the ceremony when Casper and Betsie were honored in this special way, but my heart is filled with the burning desire to make sure this message is taken across Israel…and I need your help.

Jewish people need a Redeemer

Behind the curtains of Jewish faith.

Looking at the hope of  the awaited  Messiah when  the whole Israel  will live in a 'peaceful perfect land' - is such a long awaited   dream - times of the  great things  on earth, and -sadly  saying-mainly  to those who will be alive at that time.. There is much more we should expect!
We wait and wait, yet  forget we all have a free will and are not free of sin, we tend to harm each other very easily and not always make the best choices. How can we expect with such nature to have a 'paradise' on earth anywhere? Do we hope that in another hundred years people would get 'smart enough' and give up any evil action, any evil thought, any selfish desires?  We tend to  believe that one day  the whole evil world  will change 'magically' into a good one and  people will be able to live happily ever after. Let's look at ourselves how long can we endure ' being good' and not allowing  any selfish  evil thought  into our heart, no anger and no irritation, we will just love each other no matter what...

There is no 'magic' in changing peoples hearts. We are what we are and that's why we need a Redeemer, a Savior! His involvement in our lives is what  changes our hearts!  This is what God  promised through different prophets that one day He would send a Redeemer. A Savior  whose mission is not just to create a  'peaceful world' with evil people  who are dying  but with people whose hearts will be cleansed by Him.

As`soon as the sin entered the world, Adam and Eve were removed from a paradise. Death entered the world  and other bad things we know as the result of sin. The only way to be free from eternal death is through promised Redeemer. We can't limit  the Redeemer to the earthly things only. What is he going to accomplish is much more than  gathering all Israel into their land, building the Temple and bring  peace on earth.

Isaiah 65;17 "For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."
Isaiah 25;8 "He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord has spoken it."

God is the God of love and justice. He didn't create us  with the purpose of a short time  as if He was watching an  TV opera on earth in which you are alive in only one episode, and then the others replace you after you die. He is the author of  everlasting life and created us for the fellowship with him. We are created for a purpose. Our earthly life is to get to know Him! Only He offers us the way out of sin and out of eternal death!!
That is why  Christ's accomplishments are  beyond the earthly things!
Even David  was holding to God  of  fellowship and  to  hope of everlasting life. David knew that the things God was going to accomplish through Christ  were more than  expectations relating to earthly life.
Psalm 37;28
"For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;"
Psalm 41;13
"Because of my integrity you uphold me   and set me in your presence forever."

Psalm  49;16  "But God will redeem my life from the grave; he will surely take me to himself."

God put eternity in our hearts because`He created us with the purpose so that we would live with Him forever. But not in our sinful nature. We need to be redeemed .We need a Redeemer who will set us free from our sin. About our Redeemer God has been telling throughout years  through different prophets.
In God's grace a Savior is for every sinner.
From the Scriptures we know that the great fathers of the history were saved by faith,God justified them based on their faith. Although many of them failed and  sin was present in their lives, they were justified by God's grace. Jacob cheated his brother out of  his dad's promised blessing.
Isaiah  admitted his sinful nature  after he saw His glory saying
" Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. "   then he was cleansed by God. "And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this has touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged."  Isaiah 6;5

David sinned with Bathsheba, Salomon  was in sin  deceived by many women. Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God's friend. These people were saved by God's grace.
We all  are under the same condition!  If not God's grace, nothing would save us as nobody is righteous enough to stand before The Holy One and survive. God's grace is free but it cost  God  a lot to pay for our redemption. He is the One who had to pay the price of our sin or else would be all a subject to His judgement. Sending a Savior wasn't costless.

We usually imagine a Savior as a great mighty hero a great politician who will impose his power over sinful people and force them to be good. It is not like that. God doesn't  force people, He wants a change of heart. A Savior  is to deal with our sinful heart. First- redemption from sin, before we can expect any peaceful future God is talking about in the Scriptures!
We have to be forgiven and start with a clean new heart!

Christ  was to take the penalty for our sin  and that is what he did!
Do we have a right to reject the only one  person in the history that manifested power over death and life witnessed by thousands? Many hide behind  the words " he is just  not ours to consider") yet thousands of people all over the world  accept Christ's forgiveness and find peace in heart. Christ is real.

A simple prayer would help, ask God for His revelation of the truth with open and honest heart. Does your  pride not allow you to believe that God would send  His Son to wipe our sins away? As the perfect picture of that event to come was Abraham asked by God to offer his son. God  put Abraham to test to show what would come in the future and how hard is it  for the Father to offer his son.
That is how much are redemption was to cost as God was to offer His own Son for us.

Isaiah 53 ;11 is claimed that it talks about Israel yet verse 11 clearly states it is about God's Savior for us ;
"He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities."
It says '  he shall justify many, he shall bear their iniquities"
How would Israel justify others, bear their iniquities?

V 12." (...)numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
Can the nation be called ' righteous servant' where God is grieving over it's sin in  every century? There is no righteous nation on this earth before God!
A nation can't redeem others from their sin!

People have to come to God in person for forgiveness, everybody is responsible for himself, Israel's nation can't  justify others before God. A nation is not a Savior!!
God is not going to put up with peoples sin forever. Those who are rejecting His forgiveness, they will be a subject to judgement. God is holy  and will judge every sin. But God is also love and mercy and knows that nobody would stood up  righteous before him. That is why  He is giving us   a Savior to redeem us from our sin. His Son has already paid a high price to buy us out. He paid the high price by death for us, as the wages of sin is death. Come to him in prayer.
God said ' Now is the time of salvation"
Christ said;   " He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." (John 12;48)
"He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3;36)

" As I prayed for you this morning, God gave me this Scripture for you" - update by Mike Evans

“Dear Jesus...how foolish of me to have called for human help when You are here.” – Corrie ten Boom

"As I was praying for you this morning, the Lord spoke to me to encourage you and gave me this Scripture for you. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

I know this promise is true! Years ago on Thanksgiving Day (which was also my 25th wedding anniversary), I was told that a terrorist was coming to kill me. My entire evangelistic team in the hotel was moved two floors down so they would be spared.

On my 40th birthday, I was told that a terrorist who had already killed two people, including a state trooper, had been arrested—with my name and address and a loaded gun on the front seat of his car.

In 1983 I preached to the Marines in Beirut, Lebanon, and gave them Bibles. A few hours later, a Hezbollah terrorist killed almost 250 of them. I was told I might never get out of Lebanon alive, but an angel of God delivered me.

I know what it is like to let the God of peace guard my heart and mind!

Please say this prayer with me out loud right now—the same prayer I said in those crisis times: “God is greater than I think. God is closer than I think. God is more committed than I think. God is more ambitious than I think.”

In the Mighty Name of Jesus, get up! Don't sit in the dust of your difficulties. Focus today on what you have left, not what you have lost... YOU can do ALL things though Christ who strengthens you!

I believe that God brought you and me together “for such a time as this”—to give our time and energy and effort and resources to stand for and defend Israel and the Jewish people. One of the greatest and most important things that the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center makes possible is the Christian Zionist Heritage Center. The story of Christian love is a story that most Jewish people have never heard. We must tell the story—but we can’t do it without you. I urgently need your help today.

I am praying that God will give us 800 Jerusalem Prayer Team members by today to stand with us in honor of the 800 Jewish people that the ten Booms saved from the Holocaust. I am writing today to ask you to be one of those 800 with your gift to help us make the payment so that the work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center can continue. So far 755 loving hearts have responded to this need by giving $61,290.

When you send your gift of $30 or more, we will send you Corrie ten Boom’s book The Hiding Place.
This is the riveting account of how Corrie ten Boom and her family were able to save many of God's chosen people during WW II. For 35 years, millions have seen that there is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still. Now, The Hiding Place, repackaged for a new generation of readers, continues to declare that God’s love will overcome, heal, and restore.
If you are able to send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you this lovely commemorative clock.
Because the ten Booms were watchmakers, even using clock advertisements in their window to send secret messages, this is a great way for you to remember, celebrate, and continue their work. Perfect for your home or office, everyone who sees this beautiful piece will know your love and commitment to God’s Chosen People.
We are excited about what will be accomplished through the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, but in order for it become a reality, we must quickly raise the funds so that the programming and design work can be done, and we can begin telling these wonderful stories. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.

Your gift of support for the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we stand with and for Israel and the Jewish people is your personal act of love and kindness to bless God’s Chosen People. Your gift today makes it possible for this great worldwide prayer movement to continue at this crucial and prophetic moment in history.

"Wars and rumors of wars " Israel

Update about  Israel by Mike Evans

“My job was to simply follow His leading one step at a time, holding every decision up to Him in prayer.” – Corrie ten Boom
Jesus said that in the end times, we would hear of wars and rumors of wars. That sounds exactly like the headlines we are reading today. Just look at the last few days:
Israeli jets have struck military targets deep inside Syria as the civil war there threatens to overthrow the government of Bashir Assad—and brings great uncertainty about the fate of his chemical and biological weapons.

Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has declared that his nation is already a nuclear power.

Egyptian leaders are threatening to “amend” the terms of their peace treaty with Israel.

The Iranians continue to funnel thousands of missiles to Hamas and Hezbollah for use against Israel and the Jewish people.
All of these events and more highlight the vital and urgent need for prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. As we continue to pray faithfully and fervently for the safety and protection of Israel and the Jewish people, we must do so in faith. It is wonderful to know that no matter how difficult circumstances may be today—politically, socially, physically, emotionally, economically—our God reigns. Our future is bright. I've never been more aware of that than today.

I am praying that God will give us 800 Jerusalem Prayer Team members by today to stand with us in honor of the 800 Jewish people the that ten Booms saved from the Holocaust. Your generous gift today will take the story of Corrie ten Boom and her family—and the stories of hundreds of other loving Christians who helped and supported Israel and the Jewish people—to Jerusalem and the nation of Israel through the Christian Zionist Heritage Center.

However, we now must make the first payment to Disk-in Pro on their work as required by the contract. We have received the invoice for $450,000. I am writing today to ask you to be one of those 800 with your gift to help us make the payment so that the work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center can continue. Why all the rage over Jerusalem?

 Update by Mike Evans
Jerusalem Prayer Team
Donate online

“How often it is a small, almost unconscious event that makes a turning point.” – Corrie ten Boom

"No other city on earth sparks the controversy that Jerusalem does. The fate of the Holy City is discussed, debated, and fought over more than any other. President Obama is pushing a plan to divide Jerusalem and hand much of it—including the holiest places of Christianity—to the Palestinians as the capital of a new state.

The question arises, “Why the rage over Jerusalem?” The answer can only be found in the Word of God. This is a spiritual battle. Satan declared in Isaiah 14:13-14 that he would wage warfare against God Almighty not only from Jerusalem, but from the Temple site. He declared, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Jerusalem is the only city which God claims as His own; for that reason it is called the “City of God.” He declares in II Chronicles 33:7, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My Name forever.” David, the psalmist, wrote in Psalm 102:16, “For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in His glory.”

In Isaiah 62:1, the prophet cries out, “For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.” Isaiah added another amazing prophecy in chapter 2, verse 3: “For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

I am praying that God will give us 800 Jerusalem Prayer Team members in the next two days to stand with us in honor of the 800 Jewish people that the ten Booms saved from the Holocaust. Under God's protection

"God stilled me in the midst of the storm"
Update and testimony by Mike Evans
Jerusalem Prayer Team
Donate online
"When Christ appeared to me at eleven years of age and said, “I love you, son, and have a great plan for your life,” He stilled me in the midst of my storm. I would remain in the house of an abusive, Jew-hating father for another five and one-half years. Sometimes, God stills the storm; most times He stills us in the midst of the storm.
In serving the Lord for more than fifty years, I’ve learned that to have His affirmation requires radical forgiveness, generosity, humility, and obedience. The majority of the great miracles in my life happened in war zones—Saudi Arabia where I was threatened with decapitation for preaching the Gospel; in Somalia where al Qaeda terrorists attempted to kill me on the same day the Blackhawk helicopter was shot down; in Beirut, Lebanon, where more than 240 Marines were killed a few hours after I preached the Gospel and distributed Bibles to them; and in Israel with missiles flying over my head and people running through the streets to bomb shelters, and the Spirit of God saying to me, “Don’t run.” Even one year on my birthday, June 30, a terrorist headed for my home to kill me, having already murdered two people—one of them a state trooper, according to the ATF agent who called to tell me the news.

Your war zone may be unsaved loved ones or forgiving a person to whom you gave your heart and who has now slandered you. I want to encourage you that if you are struggling, broken-hearted, have a bad report from your doctor, have a situation with your child that doesn’t seem favorable, are depressed to the core of your soul, or can’t feel God’s favor, know this: you are not one-in-a-million; you are one in seven billion!

My book, Living in the F.O.G., was written to help you see this truth clearly. Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God), is not about what you can get from God, but what you can give to God: “You, God, created absolutely everything…and it is for Your pleasure that they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11, NLT).

And I encourage you today to join with me in defending the Jewish people from the awful threats they face. We must stand for Israel now more than ever. We received an amazing miracle to complete the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center. God greatly blessed, and so many friends gave generously and sacrificially so that we could make the payments on this beautiful five-story building. We give thanks to God for you and all those who gave to make this miracle a reality. But the building is simply a means to an end. It is not an outreach; it only enables us to do outreach.

After months of research, interviews, prayers, and seeking God’s direction, we signed a contract with Disk-In Pro, a leading Israeli hi-tech company, for the Christian Zionist Heritage Center. Disk-In Pro has done some of the most advanced and cutting-edge interactive displays and museums in the world, and we are working with them to bring the stories of Christian love to life for generations of Jewish people.

However, we now must make the first payment on their work as required by the contract. We have just received the invoice for $450,000. Our income this month is down more than fifty percent. We know that people care—but there is a sense that we have completed our work, and the task is done. But while we won a great victory, our work is far from done. We must continue to go forward. For twenty days, I am on a Daniel fast for this breakthrough. If you are led to join me for a day or a meal, I would be grateful. And I am writing today to ask for your help in making this payment so that the work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center can continue.
See this update from Dr.Evans on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center

When you send your gift of $30 or more, we will send you a copy of my brand new book Living in the F.O.G.
I wrote this book to share the keys of receiving a miraculous measure of God’s favor and blessing. If you learn these principles and put them into practice, it will transform your life! If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you an autographed hardback copy.
If you are able to send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you this beautiful “For such a time as this” chenille throw.
This lovely piece features the text of Esther 4:14 and is a wonderful way to share your love and support of Israel and the Jewish people with everyone who sees it.
We are excited about what will be accomplished through the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, but in order for it become a reality, we must quickly raise the funds so that the programming and design work can be done, and we can begin telling these wonderful stories. "We live in the “Me Generation,” where secular humanists, even in the pulpit, have fanned the flames of narcissism, hedonism, and self-gratification. The United States has never had so much stuff and been so unhappy. Millions are looking within for happiness, but the only problem is that doesn’t work. You were not self-created; you can’t tell yourself the purpose for which you were created. There is great truth in the words: “Look around and be distressed; look within and be depressed; look to Jesus and be at rest.”
Victor Frankl, a Jewish neurologist/psychiatrist, was given the opportunity to leave Nazi Germany for the United States. He chose to stay because of the commandment of the Bible, “Honor your father and mother.” In the concentration camp, most of his family perished, but Frankl survived. In his book, A Search for Meaning, honored by the Library of Congress, he states: “If man knows the why of his existence, he can bear almost any how.” Corrie ten Boom found that to be true in her life while she was also imprisoned by the Nazis.

A Gallup Poll revealed that 40 percent of Americans do not think their lives have a clear sense of purpose or are neutral about the question. Frankl’s study revealed that living a meaningful life corresponds with being a giver, not a taker, and that happiness without meaning is characterized by a relatively shallow self-absorbed, even selfish life.

My book, Living in the F.O.G., was written to help Christians see this truth clearly. Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God), is not about what you can get from God, but what you can give to God: “You, God, created absolutely everything…and it is for Your pleasure that they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11, NLT).

I believe that God brought us together “for such a time as this”—to give our time and energy and effort and resources to stand for and defend Israel and the Jewish people. One of the greatest and most important things that the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center makes possible is the Christian Zionist Heritage Center. The story of Christian love is a story that most Jewish people have never heard. We must tell the story—but we can’t do it without you. I urgently need your help today.

God has opened an amazing door of outreach for us. After months of research, interviews, prayers, and seeking His direction, we signed a contract with Disk-In Pro, a leading Israeli hi-tech company, for the Christian Zionist Heritage Center. Disk-In Pro has done some of the most advanced and cutting-edge interactive displays and museums in the world, and we are working with them to bring the stories of Christian love to life for generations of Jewish people. God is going to use our partnership to share the message of Christian love with so many of His Chosen People.

We have just received the invoice as specified in the contract for the first payment of $450,000. Our income this month is down more than fifty percent. We know that people care—but there is a sense that we have completed our work, and the task is done. But while we won a great victory with the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center, our work is far from done. We must continue to go forward. For the next twenty days, I am on a Daniel fast for this breakthrough. If you are led to join me for a day or a meal I would be grateful. And I am writing today to ask for your help in making this payment so that the work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center can continue.

Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.
