"Look to Jesus and be at rest"

"We live in the “Me Generation,” where secular humanists, even in the pulpit, have fanned the flames of narcissism, hedonism, and self-gratification. The United States has never had so much stuff and been so unhappy. Millions are looking within for happiness, but the only problem is that doesn't work. You were not self-created; you can't tell yourself the purpose for which you were created. There is great truth in the words: “Look around and be distressed; look within and be depressed; look to Jesus and be at rest.”

We are hard at work with our Jerusalem team members who are bringing together the plans for the Operations Center on the Ambassador Floor. This will be the headquarters for all we will do in Israel. I signed the contracts by faith, believing that God will provide. The same God that parted the Red Sea and brought down the walls of Jericho will help us meet this great need.

Victor Frankl, a Jewish neurologist/psychiatrist, was given the opportunity to leave Nazi Germany for the United States. He chose to stay because of the commandment of the Bible, “Honor your father and mother.” In the concentration camp, most of his family perished, but Frankl survived. In his book, A Search for Meaning, honored by the Library of Congress, he states: “If man knows the why of his existence, he can bear almost any how.” Corrie ten Boom found that to be true in her life while she was also imprisoned by the Nazis.

A Gallup Poll revealed that 40 percent of Americans do not think their lives have a clear sense of purpose or are neutral about the question. Frankl's study revealed that living a meaningful life corresponds with being a giver, not a taker, and that happiness without meaning is characterized by a relatively shallow, self-absorbed, even selfish life. I know you are a giver who loves and cares for others—especially the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, and today I am asking you to be part of something special to bless them.

We have a huge opportunity right now to touch the world from the Holy City through the construction and equipping of our new Operations Center in the Jerusalem World Center. This will be the command and control center for everything we do, including organizing help for victims of terror, Holocaust survivors, and every possible need we can help meet. Our goal is based on the prophetic word of the Lord: “Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith your God” (Isaiah 40:1).

The team that will operate and manage all of these outreaches (and more in the future) is being assembled. We have legal, management, property development, construction, programming, and other staff—and they must have a place to work. The fifth floor of your Jerusalem World Center will be the Operations Center…but we have only eight weeks to make this happen so we can stay on schedule for everything that is to follow.

The budget for the Operations Center—including construction, furnishing, equipment and everything we need to get it up and fully running—is one million Israeli shekels…$275,000 US. I am asking you and every friend of the Jerusalem Prayer Team to respond today to help us meet this urgent need. Everything we are going to do in and through the Jerusalem World Center depends on getting the Operations Center up and running. So far 455 loving friends have given $36,120 toward this prophetic goal. Please join me right now in praying a blessing on their lives according to the promise of Genesis 12:3.
Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team today allows us to continue our work on the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

"Every crisis is an opportunity for us to trust God"

" The Bible says in Psalm 139, “You shaped me first inside and then out. You formed me in my mother's womb.” God created you for a purpose. God is greater than you think, closer than you think, more ambitious than you think, more committed than you think...and you can trust Him! Frame your world around the favor of God. Get out of your comfort zone.

As a child I was hated and beaten like a dog by my own father who believed I was not his son. He attempted to kill me when I was 11 by strangling me and leaving me for dead in the basement. It was that night when the God who created me healed me and called me to work for Him. Your God is much bigger than your mountain!

This is the good news: If you have any mountains that seem impossible to climb, the favor of God works best in the realm of the impossible. Psalm 5:12 declares, “For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.”

Yesterday I had a major conference call with our Jerusalem team members who are working on the plans for the Operations Center on the Ambassador Floor. This will be the headquarters for all we will do in Israel. I signed the contracts by faith, believing that God will provide. The Savior who appeared to me at 11 and said, “Son, I love you and have a great plan for your life” is more than able to meet this need. I am so thankful that I am not alone in this step of faith; you and God are on the team. Together we live in the F.O.G., the Favor of God. We are truly walking by faith and not by sight.

Yes, the favor of God is when the realm of the impossible touches things beyond the grave which have eternal significance. Moses was called to pastor two million stiff-necked, rebellious people. Because of his obedience, God declared, “I know you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight” (Exodus 32:12).

The angel proclaimed to Mary in Luke 1:28, “Greetings, you who are highly favored. The Lord is with you.” Mary had the favor factor. She was super-favored. But this is what came next: You're going to give birth far from home to a baby who will appear to be born out of wedlock. He will be the Savior of the world, and you will watch Him die on a criminal's cross.

Crisis is an opportunity to trust God who can use you to do something that the world will know was through Him simply because it could not have been you. You can be a vessel to manifest His glory. Let the Spirit of God open your eyes to this revelation, and cease to be obsessed with what you are going through, but rather with what you are going to. I promise you once you get this revelation, I believe the Peace of God which surpasses all understanding, “will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7) as you enter into His favor.

We have a huge opportunity today to touch the world from the Holy City through the construction and equipping of our new Operations Center in the Jerusalem World Center. Tonight sirens will wail across Israel

 Update by Mike Evans,

Jerusalem Prayer Team

"Tonight at sundown Holocaust Remembrance Day begins. Across Israel sirens will wail, and for two minutes, the entire nation will come to a halt. Cars and buses will stop. Pedestrians will pause where they are. The nation will stop to remember the deaths of more than 6,000,000 Jewish people in the Holocaust.
It is impossible to really understand the nation of Israel without understanding the Holocaust and the tragic toll it took on so many families…including my own. Many of my mother’s relatives perished at the hands of Hitler simply because they were Jewish. Along with so many others, I have taken the holy vow “Never Again” and committed my life to defending, supporting, encouraging, and blessing the Jewish people.

But for tens of thousands of elderly people living in Israel today, the Holocaust is not a tragic story from the past; it is their own story. These survivors…some 200,000 of them…endured the hardships, torture, and abuse and lived to tell the story that must never be forgotten. Today I am asking you to help us touch their lives in love.

We have a community center dedicated to Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem. When I was recently in Israel, we had a wonderful Passover Party for Holocaust survivors that the members of the Jerusalem Prayer Team made possible. But our love and compassion for Holocaust survivors living in poverty is not just for special events or once in a while; it is every single day. The beautiful community center that we renovated for Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem distributes free food, clothing, and other basic necessities of life, but we need to do even more…and we can’t do it without you.

I am asking you today to send a special gift. Holocaust Memorial Day begins at sundown today—a day set aside to remember the tragic loss of more than six million Jewish lives at the hands of Hitler. I can’t think of a better way for us to remember this day than by reaching out in love and compassion to those who endured this awful suffering.

Next week will mark the anniversary of Corrie ten Boom’s birthday on April 15th. She and her family risked their lives—and many of them perished—to save 800 Jewish people from the Holocaust. As Chairman of the Board of the ten Boom House and Museum, I am asking you today to continue that legacy of love and compassion with your gift to help the Jerusalem Prayer Team do even more to meet the urgent needs of the elderly Holocaust survivors living in Israel. Since 1988, we have opened the doors to the ten Boom house free of charge to all who come.

“The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the LORD, and the LORD will repay him for his good deed” (Proverbs 19.17).

Most Jewish people have never seen an act of compassion and love from a Christian. Unlike those Jewish people who took refuge in the ten Boom home and ate and prayed with them daily, most Jewish people alive today have never experienced that kind of care and love. But together we can show it to them, and we need your help.
When you send your gift of $35 or more, we will send you a copy of the wonderful book The Hiding Place as well as a special Corrie ten Boom notebook filled with information about Corrie and her family along with reproduced pages from her personal journal. These are treasures that you will enjoy and want to share with friends.

If you are able to send a gift of $77 or more, we will send you this special clock. This beautiful piece is a reminder of the ten Boom’s family clock business and their beautiful heritage of love and compassion and sacrifice for the Jewish people. It’s a great way for you to share your support of Israel with everyone who sees it.

"My prayer for you today"

Update by Mike Evans,

Jerusalem Prayer Team

"In times of trouble, may the Lord respond to your cry! May the God of Israel keep you safe from all harm! May He send you help from His sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem! May He remember all of your gifts and look favorably on your offerings. May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout with joy when we hear of your Victory flying banners to honor our God! May the Lord answer all your prayers! (Psalm 20:1-6)

There are nine amazing promises for you today in these six verses—a one-minute prayer that will change your life. Speak it out loud right now and meditate on it today. The Mighty Warrior is waiting and is ready to move Heaven and Earth for you; it’s a Heavenly Guarantee. These words poured from the heart of a terrified young man named David, and they changed his destiny. Since the time of David, they have been prayed over Israeli leaders and before battles. Scholars believed this prayer was part of public worship in the early church.

One word from God can change your life forever! On October 13,1958, I was defeated, depressed, and discouraged. My anti-Semitic father had strangled me and left me for dead. I was 11 years old, and my only goal was to live to 20 because I was sure my father would kill me before then. But one act of faith on my part triggered a heavenly response. You see, God knew my name and my need, and He knows yours also today. So join me in releasing your faith in claiming these promises.

You see, you and I have a choice—to walk in fear and self-pity or to walk to faith and hope. The reason David killed his Goliath was that his faith was greater than Israel’s fear. It’s time to trust Him rather than our human reasoning. Help is on the way—emotionally, spiritually, financially, legally, socially, physically—God can do whatever you need. Rather than allowing the problem to define you, let God define you. One promise alive in your heart and your mouth will provide provision in the midst of your predicament.

Today I am asking you to pray urgently and fervently for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of Israel. The world may be complacent about the danger they face, but we cannot afford to be, and I am asking for your generous financial help to support the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we stand with the nation of Israel and the Jewish people.
We are working on the creation of the Righteous Gentiles Heritage Center, and it is a massive undertaking. The amount of computer programming and production work required to make this an interactive, life-changing experience rather than just another museum is staggering. We are working with one of the leading high-tech companies in the entire world that specializes in creating this kind of dynamic exhibition.

But this investment is worth making because of the importance of sharing the message of Christian love with the Jewish people. It is a tragedy that while we as Believers have been thrilled to hear these stories, almost no one in the nation of Israel knows them. As a result of the long history of persecution and murder carried out by people who claimed to be acting in the name of Christ, the Jewish people often think of Christianity as a religion that is hostile to their people.
When you send your gift of $30 or more, we will send you a copy of my new book on Iran and Israel called Persia: The Final Jihad. Every student of Scripture knows how important Iran is to Bible prophecy, and this book examines what prophetic teaching and current events tell us about what is coming next. If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you an autographed hardback copy.
With your gift of $100 or more, we will send you a paperback copy of Persia: The Final Jihad and a copy of this stunning Auschwitz photo which was given to me in Israel on my recent trip by an Israeli Air Force General.
In every air force base in Israel, a photo of the train tracks leading into Auschwitz hangs on the wall. Over these tracks the German trains hauled rail cars filled with Jewish men, women and children to their death. When American pilots begged for permission to bomb the tracks to stop the slaughter of the innocents, they were refused. I know you will treasure this picture just as I do.
If you are able to send $250 or more, we will send you an amazing Torah Scroll.
It is a treasure for your home or office, fashioned according to the traditions handed down for centuries. In addition we will put your name or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember on a special Scroll of Honor that will be a permanent part of the Righteous Gentiles Heritage Center.
Perhaps you would like to help in an even more significant way. With your gift of $1,000 or more, we will place your name permanently in the Hall of Righteous Gentiles in the Heritage Center.
This display will remind everyone who enters that Christian friends of Israel have made it possible for this wonderful center to exist. You may also choose to honor or remember someone special to you by having their name placed here forever.

The name you select will be carved into stone in the Hall of Righteous Gentiles—a lasting legacy of love that will remain as a witness until the Lord returns to Jerusalem. Everyone who enters the building can see your name and give thanks for your generosity and love. God says, See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. (Isaiah 49:16)
If you are able to give $10,000 or more, in addition to the Auschwitz photo and Torah Scroll, we will memorialize your gift with a special Star in your honor in the Jerusalem World Center. For years the world has honored its celebrities as “stars”...but your gift is a lasting testimony and tribute to your generosity. Daniel 12:3 says, “They that turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever.”
