"Four rockets from Lebanon fired into Israel "

 Jerusalem Prayer Team
update by Mike Evans

"Residents of northern Israel remain on heightened alert after the first terrorist attack in the region in quite some time. Four rockets were fired into Israel from Lebanon this week, and a group aligned with Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack. Israel is surrounded by enemies on every side, and the Jerusalem Prayer Team is doing everything we can to help.

The largest bomb shelter in Israel for Holocaust survivors is also a community center where they receive food, clothing, transportation and even medicines—and it's all because of your support. It has air conditioning, television, Internet, phones and a lovely kitchen...and we are working right now to improve it by providing a motorized chair for the stairs and many other upgrades. We will have a wonderful party there next month during the Feast of Tabernacles for these precious people, but we can't do it without your help.

Today you can fulfill the prophetic Word of God to bring a light to the nation of Israel by helping the Jerusalem Prayer Team build the first Christian museum in the nation of Israel. When tens of thousands of Jewish people go through the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center to hear the story of Christian love for the first time ever, you will be fulfilling prophecy; they will call you “blessed.” Please do your very best today to help us make this wonderful dream come true.

This story can only be told with your help. We must make the next payment by September 1st. So far 1,340 friends have given $124,755. That means we still need $125,245. Please join me right now in praying a commanded blessing on every friend who takes part in this effort.
For your gift of any amount…

We will send you this “Peace and Prosperity Door Plate.”

Cast in solid pewter, the plate features Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Proudly displayed on the doorpost of your home, it will serve as a daily reminder that the blessings of God will surround your life as you “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.”

With your gift of $30 or more…

We will send you the pewter door plate and this Star of David Mizpah necklace.

Mizpah jewelry is a symbol of heartfelt trust, friendship, good will and love between two people. You can share one half of your necklace with a loved one, a friend, or a family member. Or if you prefer, you can have us send you one half of the necklace and designate the other half to be given, on your behalf, to a Jewish person in Jerusalem whose life has been powerfully impacted through your faithful prayers and support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team. No matter which option you choose, we know that you will love this beautiful necklace!

With your gift of $100 or more…

We will send you the pewter door plate and this Garden of Gethsemane prayer shawl.

The Garden of Gethsemane was a favorite prayer spot for Jesus, and this beautiful prayer shawl is a link to the ancient Jewish roots of our faith. It is our gift to express our gratitude for your support as we stand with and for Israel.
With your gift of $250 or more…

We will send you the pewter door plate and this stunning Torah Scroll.

In addition, your name or the name of someone you wish to honor will be placed on a special Scroll of Honor in the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team today allows us to continue our work on the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Jerusalem Prayer Team

We must continue working on the Righteous Gentiles Heritage Center. This wonderful museum will be a witness of love and hope to the Jewish people from the Holy City until the Lord returns, but we must complete the project. We must raise the remaining half of the funds for the fourth floor and make the second payment of $411,500 by today. It is critical that we keep on schedule; the grand opening is scheduled for September 2014, and the nation of Israel is already talking about this unprecedented witness of Christian love. Your gift today will be matched dollar for dollar, so we must raise $205,750. So far 1,540 loving friends have given $166,035 which will be doubled to $332,070. That means we still need $39,715.
For your gift of any amount…

We will send you this beautiful Psalm 91 print and a matching bookmark.

I know these beautiful words will strengthen and encourage your faith.

With your gift of $50 or more…

We will send you the print and bookmark and this lovely Touching the Hem of His Garment figurine.

Few stories in Scripture demonstrate faith in action better than the woman who believed she would be healed if she could just touch the hem of Jesus' robe. You will enjoy displaying this piece in your home or office.

With your gift of $100 or more…

We will send the print and bookmark and a copy of the Jerusalem World Center Study Bible.

Prepared especially for members of the Jerusalem Prayer Team, this beautifully bound King James Version features special study helps and notes that I know you will use again and again, including a concordance, center-column reference, Messianic Prophecies of the Old Testament, Miracles and Parables of our Lord, and much more.

Remember that your gift today will be doubled by the matching gift offer to do twice as much to help us reach this urgent goal.

Christian ministry in Jerusalem- update

 Jerusalem Prayer Team
update by Mike Evans

"Yesterday, I had breakfast with my prayer partner for the past thirty-three years, former Secretary of the Interior James Watt. He held this position during the Reagan administration. In this office, Jim was asked to swear in new members of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council at the Holocaust Living Memorial in Washington, D.C. One of those present at the time was Dr. Elie Wiesel. I want to share with you some of what Jim said:

“The story of the Holocaust is frightening. The story does not start with the criminal torture of you and the destruction of the Jewish people. It came first with an attack on the moral and spiritual values of life. The German people were conditioned to hate and be intolerant to the Jewish people before the methodic killing and destruction of human life. Good people lived in the towns nearby, but they did not get involved to stop Auschwitz. They did not concern themselves with Dachau nor any other place of human destruction. The apathy and non-involvement of the good people, the Church people in Nazi government activities in the 1930s, made it easy not to smell the burning stench of human flesh in the 1940s.

“Ignoring discrimination in the 30s allowed the good people, the Church people to be closed to the realities of torture, murder, and abuse in the 40s. The surprise of the Hitler era was not that one man could be so evil, but that so many good people could do nothing. How could the German Church live with all the evidence that would point to the massacre of six million Jews? How could good people live in the towns nearby, smelling the stench, and not do something about it? How could they see the thousands of people hauled by train or marching through their towns never to return, and not do something about it? How could they live next door to people who worked in those institutions of death without doing something about it? How could they worship in their churches within eye-view of the concentrations camps and not do something about it?

“The Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Memorial Holocaust Center in Los Angeles has on one of its walls a picture of one survivor of a German death camp, pointing with shame to pictures of the world’s political and religious leaders of the 1930s and 40s. Below the picture of the survivor are the words which have been seared in my mind forever, ‘Here is to the world that did not care; those who had ears but did not hear; those who had eyes, but did not see; those who had mouths but would not speak.’”

These are the words of Secretary Watt, my beloved prayer partner. He understands the importance of what we are doing at the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center in Jerusalem. We are telling the narratives of real Christians who did something while risking their very lives—as did the ten Boom family. Unfortunately, many of the Jewish people have never heard these stories. Through the grace of God and your generosity, they will.

Today you and I have been chosen by God to stand in defense of Israel. The Jewish people are under attack and facing threats on every side. They need to know that they are not alone—that their Christian friends around the world are standing with them. That is why we are working so hard on the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center.

We have been given a one-week extension to raise the remaining half of the funds for the fourth floor and make the second payment of $411,500. It is critical that we keep on schedule; the grand opening is scheduled for September 2014, and the nation of Israel is already talking about this unprecedented witness of Christian love. update by Mike Evans

"More than fifty years ago, Jesus appeared to a nearly-dead 11-year-old boy (me) who had been strangled and left for dead by his own father. When I saw Jesus, my life was transformed. In an instant, I was healed from a stomach ulcer, and my stuttering stopped forever. The fears that had bound me were scattered away, and a sense of peace overwhelmed me. I didn't know everything then that I know now, but I knew I had been touched by the hand of God.

Today I am praying for that transforming touch on your life. I am asking God to respond with a Divine miracle blessing- the Aaronic blessing that will cover you from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet- as you bless His Chosen People. When you sow a seed, even during a time of famine, you will reap His harvest.

I am asking God for a miracle...both for your life and needs, and for the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center. There is no question that God is working in this project. It is His purpose and His timing. Jerusalem is Ground Zero for spiritual warfare in our world today. It is the target of the enemy, and it is vital that you and I do our part to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but to support Israel's right to her capital city.

Will you help the Jerusalem Prayer Team bless Israel and encourage the Jewish people with your gift for the Righteous Gentiles Heritage Center? God’s deliverance from ALL your fears

update by Mike Evans

"I read in Jeremiah 1:10, 12, 14, and 17 during my devotions: "See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.... for I will hasten my word to perform it.... Out of the north an evil shall break forth.... be not dismayed at their faces." In verse 8, Jeremiah wrote, "For I am with thee to deliver thee." Verse 19 records, "They shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you."

Please stand on that scripture today. I know what it is to be afraid of faces. As a child, I was so fearful that I would not look anyone in the face. I walked with my head bowed all the time. I could not even look at my father because of fear, but God delivered me from all my fears.

Many years ago, God spoke to me to go to the north of Israel where Hezbollah was entrenched in Lebanon to preach the Gospel. I was told by Israeli intelligence that if I did that, I would be killed. I knew the Lord had sent me and would protect me…and He did. After preaching the Gospel in Sidon, I went down to Beirut to distribute Gideon Bibles to the Marines and share the Word and pray with them. That night, as I slept on the beachhead, I thought about an 18-year-old Marine from Wooster, Massachusetts, whom I had led to Christ. His last words to me that evening had been, "Please tell Mom that her prayer has been answered. I've given my life to the Lord as my personal Savior."

Early the next morning, the area was rocked by a huge explosion as Hezbollah terrorists targeted the barracks with a truck bomb. Two hundred forty-one troops were killed in the attack. We left Beirut in the Avis vehicle which I had rented in Jerusalem. Driving down a dirt road towards Israel, we came under fire from terrorist organizations in the area. As 135mm shells fell around the car, I realized ours was the only vehicle on the road, and it was a rental car with distinctive Jerusalem license plates. Spotlights were playing across the vehicle as night descended. We ran out of gasoline, and it looked as if we would be killed.

As we prayed, a young man who looked Arabic knocked on the window and held up a can of gasoline. There were no homes or villages near where we had coasted to a stop. He poured the container of gas into the vehicle, came back to the window, and pointed to the button. I unlocked the door, and he climbed into the car. Without saying a word, he pointed in the direction we were to drive and calmly led us 32 kilometers to the border of Israel. There is no way I could have found it without his help. A few yards before the border, he held up his hand indicating that I should stop. He opened the door and stepped out of the car. The colonel at the border said to me, "I informed the prime minister's office that you had died. I didn't think there was any possibility you could have survived."

I turned and pointed to the man who had saved our lives and said, "We are alive because of him." No one was there! You will never know how many angels God has assigned to protect you, the amazing things they have done on your behalf and will do even today. Those who fight against you shall not prevail, for the Lord is with you to deliver you.

Will you help the Jerusalem Prayer Team bless Israel and encourage the Jewish people with your gift for the Righteous Gentiles Heritage Center? We have three days left on our extension to raise the remaining half of the funds for the fourth floor and make the second payment of $411,500. It hadn’t ever rained before, but Noah still built the ark

 Update by Mike Evans,
Donate online
Jerusalem Prayer Team
"God told Noah to build an ark…and Noah obeyed. Noah’s obedience would ensure him, his wife, his three sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives a place of safety. They would be spared the destruction that was about to rain down—literally—upon the earth. As he worked on the vessel, Noah preached righteousness to any who would listen. The response: ridicule, derision, mockery, and scorn.

Bible scholars tell us that before the time of Noah, it had not rained on the earth. The faithless were unable to accept by faith that God would fulfill His declaration—whether or not they knew what “rain” was. They had the choice to believe or reject…and the overwhelming majority chose unbelief and rejection.

When the Lord appeared to me when I was 11 after my father strangled me and left me for dead, I heard Him say, “Son, I love you and have a great plan for your life.” Like Noah, my word from God seemed impossible; I had a speech impediment, a stomach ulcer, hundreds of fears, and no self-esteem. But one word from Jesus changed my life forever. That was 8 million miles ago, more than 55 world leaders ago, more than 4000 meetings ago, and 47 books ago. That was four kids and nine grandkids ago. My ark was to hide in Jesus and obey His voice no matter what. God was greater than I thought, closer than I thought, more committed than I thought, and more ambitious than I thought.

Noah and his family obeyed the voice of God, the direction to enter the ark and be saved. Noah must have been quite an example to his sons who worked alongside their father to fulfill God’s directive. He obeyed despite the harassment. He had followed the instructions to gather the animals as outlined and see them safely inside. He had gathered food for the preservation of his family, all the while warning of the impending disaster. He was an obedient servant of Jehovah—the characteristic of a true servant of God.

Do you want to attract God’s favor in your life? Do you want to be like a magnet that draws good things from the Father? Do you want to be equipped to perform His work on earth? Do you want to activate the tools that will enable you to bless others? If you do, then you need to begin Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God). Learn how you can get a copy of this life-changing book below with your gift for the Jerusalem Prayer Team today.

We have a huge opportunity right now to touch the world from the Holy City through the construction and equipping of our new Operations Center in the Jerusalem World Center. This will be the command and control center for everything we do, including organizing help for victims of terror, Holocaust survivors, and every possible need we can help meet. Our goal is based on the prophetic word of the Lord: “Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith your God” (Isaiah 40:1).

So far 2,470 loving friends have given $246,980 toward the Operations Center on the Ambassador Floor (5th floor) of the Jerusalem World Center, but we are still $28,020 short of reaching this crucial goal. But I have some wonderful news to share with you. A dear friend and partner has agreed to match your gift! Whatever you give today will be doubled. If you give $100, it is like giving $200. If you give $500, it is like giving $1000. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift.

The team that will operate and manage all of these outreaches (and more in the future) is being assembled. We have legal, management, property development, construction, programming and other staff—and they must have a place to work. The fifth floor of your Jerusalem World Center will be the Operations Center…but we must make this happen now so we can stay on schedule for everything that is to follow.
For your gift of any amount…

We will send you this brand new Star of David bookmark.

Each time you see it in your Bible or the book you are reading, you will be reminded of your commitment to stand with Israel and the Jewish people in prayer.

We will send you the bookmark and a copy of my book Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God).

In this book I reveal the most important revelation God has ever given me—a truth from Scripture that revolutionized every part of my life…and can do the same for you.

If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you the bookmark and an autographed hardback edition of the book.

Only one person responded—but what a miracle

 Testimony of Mike Evans

Jerusalem Prayer Team
"It was 1991 during the first Gulf War. I had just had a nine-hour surgery for a serious neck problem, and I was physically discouraged. I threw my pain medications in the toilet and said, “God, I want to get my mind off of myself and do something great for you.”

He said, “Then go to Saudi Arabia and preach.”

Dr. Mike Evans in the Middle East during the first Gulf War
I said, “Lord, I can’t. I am Jewish, and they cut heads off there.” But I went as God commanded. In downtown Dhahran just before I was going to preach, I said, “We will have a song,” and a U.S. African-American soldier began singing “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me”!

The next morning, the Lord said, “Go to the Dhahran International Hotel and shake the hand of the first man through the door and say 'May I go with you?'” I did, and that man said yes. I later learned he was a Saudi prince and a commander of the Saudi Air Force and multinational forces in the region. He interpreted as I shared Christ with the Egyptian high command officers and Syrian army leaders!

You see, the Lord promises us power only after we step out by faith and attempt something great for Him. I did what God said; radical obedience is when we do whatever He says no matter what. After days of preaching wherever God opened the door, I went to northern Iraq after the fighting ended to bring help and comfort to the Kurdish refugees who had been gassed by Saddam Hussein.

I heard the still, small voice of God instructing me to preach one last sermon on Jonah and Nineveh. I did the best I could, telling how Jonah rebelled against God but finally went to Nineveh. I told of the king’s repentance and the revival that broke out because of Jonah’s obedience. When I asked if anyone wanted to come to Christ, only one person responded—an old man in a dusty robe. I was as disappointed as Jonah had been. My interpreter was concerned about my reaction and asked, “Why aren’t you rejoicing?”

“I’m happy for one soul,” I said, “but I was hoping for more.”

“My dear brother,” the interpreter said, “the one soul who just found Jesus is the current king of Nineveh! He is the Kurdish sheik of sixteen provinces, and the capital is the site of ancient Nineveh. He has accepted Jesus and has invited you to go to Nineveh, because he believes if you will preach, they will repent.” Many, many people were saved there through that open door that God’s favor provided. Years later I was invited back to Iraq on a state invitation by the president just because he heard that I was willing to give my life to save his people.

What is God’s favor, and how can you live in it? Favor is “unmerited grace; regard shown by another, especially a superior; an act of kindness; a token of love; effort on one’s behalf.” Because you are His child, God, in an act of kindness and as a token of His love, extends unmerited grace and works tirelessly on your behalf. Not only does He bestow favor on you, He blesses you with favor and affirmation from those around you. Keep reading for how you can get this teaching that transformed my life…but first I must share this urgent need with you.

So far 2,470 loving friends have given $246,980 toward the Operations Center on the Ambassador Floor (5th floor) of the Jerusalem World Center, but we are still $28,020 short of reaching this crucial goal. But I have some wonderful news to share with you. But I have some wonderful news to share with you. A dear friend and partner has agreed to match your gift! Whatever you give today will be doubled. If you give $100, it is like giving $200. If you give $500, it is like giving $1000. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift.

If there was ever a time when we need to rally behind Israel, it is right NOW. We have a huge opportunity to touch the world from the Holy City through the construction and equipping of our new Operations Center in the Jerusalem World Center. This will be the command and control center for everything we do, including organizing help for victims of terror, Holocaust survivors, and every possible need we can help meet. Our goal is based on the prophetic word of the Lord: “Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith your God” (Isaiah 40:1).

With your gift of $30 or more…

We will send you the bookmark and a copy of my book Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God).

In this book I reveal the most important revelation God has ever given me—a truth from Scripture that revolutionized every part of my life…and can do the same for you.

If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you an autographed hardback edition of the book.

Perhaps you would be able to do even more.
For your gift of $1000 or more…

We will place your name or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember in the Hall of Righteous Gentiles in the museum.

In addition, we will send you the bookmark, a copy of Living in the F.O.G. and this large silver-trimmed Yemenite shofar. I have one in my office, and it is both a beautiful piece and a great reminder to pray.
Remember that your gift today will be doubled by the matching gift offer to do twice as much to help us reach this urgent goal.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.
