Only one person responded—but what a miracle

 Testimony of Mike Evans

"It was 1991 during the first Gulf War. I had just had a nine-hour surgery for a serious neck problem, and I was physically discouraged. I threw my pain medications in the toilet and said, “God, I want to get my mind off of myself and do something great for you.”

He said, “Then go to Saudi Arabia and preach.”

Dr. Mike Evans in the Middle East during the first Gulf War
I said, “Lord, I can’t. I am Jewish, and they cut heads off there.” But I went as God commanded. In downtown Dhahran just before I was going to preach, I said, “We will have a song,” and a U.S. African-American soldier began singing “His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me”!

The next morning, the Lord said, “Go to the Dhahran International Hotel and shake the hand of the first man through the door and say 'May I go with you?'” I did, and that man said yes. I later learned he was a Saudi prince and a commander of the Saudi Air Force and multinational forces in the region. He interpreted as I shared Christ with the Egyptian high command officers and Syrian army leaders!

You see, the Lord promises us power only after we step out by faith and attempt something great for Him. I did what God said; radical obedience is when we do whatever He says no matter what. After days of preaching wherever God opened the door, I went to northern Iraq after the fighting ended to bring help and comfort to the Kurdish refugees who had been gassed by Saddam Hussein.

I heard the still, small voice of God instructing me to preach one last sermon on Jonah and Nineveh. I did the best I could, telling how Jonah rebelled against God but finally went to Nineveh. I told of the king’s repentance and the revival that broke out because of Jonah’s obedience. When I asked if anyone wanted to come to Christ, only one person responded—an old man in a dusty robe. I was as disappointed as Jonah had been. My interpreter was concerned about my reaction and asked, “Why aren’t you rejoicing?”

“I’m happy for one soul,” I said, “but I was hoping for more.”

“My dear brother,” the interpreter said, “the one soul who just found Jesus is the current king of Nineveh! He is the Kurdish sheik of sixteen provinces, and the capital is the site of ancient Nineveh. He has accepted Jesus and has invited you to go to Nineveh, because he believes if you will preach, they will repent.” Many, many people were saved there through that open door that God’s favor provided. Years later I was invited back to Iraq on a state invitation by the president just because he heard that I was willing to give my life to save his people.

What is God’s favor, and how can you live in it? Favor is “unmerited grace; regard shown by another, especially a superior; an act of kindness; a token of love; effort on one’s behalf.” Because you are His child, God, in an act of kindness and as a token of His love, extends unmerited grace and works tirelessly on your behalf. Not only does He bestow favor on you, He blesses you with favor and affirmation from those around you. Keep reading for how you can get this teaching that transformed my life…but first I must share this urgent need with you.

So far 2,470 loving friends have given $246,980 toward the Operations Center on the Ambassador Floor (5th floor) of the Jerusalem World Center, but we are still $28,020 short of reaching this crucial goal. But I have some wonderful news to share with you. But I have some wonderful news to share with you. A dear friend and partner has agreed to match your gift! Whatever you give today will be doubled. If you give $100, it is like giving $200. If you give $500, it is like giving $1000. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift.

If there was ever a time when we need to rally behind Israel, it is right NOW. We have a huge opportunity to touch the world from the Holy City through the construction and equipping of our new Operations Center in the Jerusalem World Center. This will be the command and control center for everything we do, including organizing help for victims of terror, Holocaust survivors, and every possible need we can help meet. Our goal is based on the prophetic word of the Lord: “Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith your God” (Isaiah 40:1).

The team that will operate and manage all of these outreaches (and more in the future) is being assembled. We have legal, management, property development, construction, programming and other staff—and they must have a place to work. The fifth floor of your Jerusalem World Center will be the Operations Center…but we must make this happen now so we can stay on schedule for everything that is to follow.
For your gift of any amount…

We will send you this brand new Star of David bookmark.

Each time you see it in your Bible or the book you are reading, you will be reminded of your commitment to stand with Israel and the Jewish people in prayer.

With your gift of $30 or more…

We will send you the bookmark and a copy of my book Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God).

In this book I reveal the most important revelation God has ever given me—a truth from Scripture that revolutionized every part of my life…and can do the same for you.

If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you an autographed hardback edition of the book.

Perhaps you would be able to do even more.
For your gift of $1000 or more…

We will place your name or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember in the Hall of Righteous Gentiles in the museum.

In addition, we will send you the bookmark, a copy of Living in the F.O.G. and this large silver-trimmed Yemenite shofar. I have one in my office, and it is both a beautiful piece and a great reminder to pray.
Remember that your gift today will be doubled by the matching gift offer to do twice as much to help us reach this urgent goal.
Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team today allows us to continue our work on the Righteous Gentile Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.
Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.

Under God's protection

"God stilled me in the midst of the storm"
Update and testimony by Mike Evans

"When Christ appeared to me at eleven years of age and said, “I love you, son, and have a great plan for your life,” He stilled me in the midst of my storm. I would remain in the house of an abusive, Jew-hating father for another five and one-half years. Sometimes, God stills the storm; most times He stills us in the midst of the storm.
In serving the Lord for more than fifty years, I’ve learned that to have His affirmation requires radical forgiveness, generosity, humility, and obedience. The majority of the great miracles in my life happened in war zones—Saudi Arabia where I was threatened with decapitation for preaching the Gospel; in Somalia where al Qaeda terrorists attempted to kill me on the same day the Blackhawk helicopter was shot down; in Beirut, Lebanon, where more than 240 Marines were killed a few hours after I preached the Gospel and distributed Bibles to them; and in Israel with missiles flying over my head and people running through the streets to bomb shelters, and the Spirit of God saying to me, “Don’t run.” Even one year on my birthday, June 30, a terrorist headed for my home to kill me, having already murdered two people—one of them a state trooper, according to the ATF agent who called to tell me the news.

Your war zone may be unsaved loved ones or forgiving a person to whom you gave your heart and who has now slandered you. I want to encourage you that if you are struggling, broken-hearted, have a bad report from your doctor, have a situation with your child that doesn’t seem favorable, are depressed to the core of your soul, or can’t feel God’s favor, know this: you are not one-in-a-million; you are one in seven billion!

My book, Living in the F.O.G., was written to help you see this truth clearly. Living in the F.O.G. (Favor of God), is not about what you can get from God, but what you can give to God: “You, God, created absolutely everything…and it is for Your pleasure that they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11, NLT).

And I encourage you today to join with me in defending the Jewish people from the awful threats they face. We must stand for Israel now more than ever. We received an amazing miracle to complete the purchase of the Jerusalem World Center. God greatly blessed, and so many friends gave generously and sacrificially so that we could make the payments on this beautiful five-story building. We give thanks to God for you and all those who gave to make this miracle a reality. But the building is simply a means to an end. It is not an outreach; it only enables us to do outreach.

After months of research, interviews, prayers, and seeking God’s direction, we signed a contract with Disk-In Pro, a leading Israeli hi-tech company, for the Christian Zionist Heritage Center. Disk-In Pro has done some of the most advanced and cutting-edge interactive displays and museums in the world, and we are working with them to bring the stories of Christian love to life for generations of Jewish people.

However, we now must make the first payment on their work as required by the contract. We have just received the invoice for $450,000. Our income this month is down more than fifty percent. We know that people care—but there is a sense that we have completed our work, and the task is done. But while we won a great victory, our work is far from done. We must continue to go forward. For twenty days, I am on a Daniel fast for this breakthrough. If you are led to join me for a day or a meal, I would be grateful. And I am writing today to ask for your help in making this payment so that the work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center can continue.

When you send your gift of $30 or more, we will send you a copy of my brand new book Living in the F.O.G.
I wrote this book to share the keys of receiving a miraculous measure of God’s favor and blessing. If you learn these principles and put them into practice, it will transform your life! If you are able to send a gift of $80 or more, we will send you an autographed hardback copy.
If you are able to send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you this beautiful “For such a time as this” chenille throw.
This lovely piece features the text of Esther 4:14 and is a wonderful way to share your love and support of Israel and the Jewish people with everyone who sees it.
We are excited about what will be accomplished through the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, but in order for it become a reality, we must quickly raise the funds so that the programming and design work can be done, and we can begin telling these wonderful stories. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.

Your gift of support for the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we stand with and for Israel and the Jewish people is your personal act of love and kindness to bless God’s Chosen People. Your gift today makes it possible for this great worldwide prayer movement to continue at this crucial and prophetic moment in history.

I thank you, living and eternal King; great is your faithfulness.

The little Jewish girl asked, “Does God live in that house?”

"Five years ago I had the privilege of speaking at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial when Casper and Betsie ten Boom were added to the Righteous among the Nations in recognition of their heroism and sacrifice in helping to save more than 800 Jews from the Holocaust. After the ceremony an elderly Jewish woman came up and spoke to me.
“They saved my life!” she said. “I was a little girl, and my mother took me to the ten Boom’s clock shop looking to hide us from the Nazis. She knocked on the door and an old man [Casper ten Boom] answered the door. My mother asked if he could help us. He said, ‘I must ask God’ and went back inside. I asked my mother, ‘Does God live in that house?’ She said, ‘I don’t know.’ In a few moments he came back and opened the door and took us inside. ‘God said Yes,’ he told us.” That precious true story was repeated time after time as the ten Boom family did their part to rescue as many Jewish people as they could from certain death.

When I prayed with Mother Teresa in Rome before she died, she said, “Lord, if we love you, we must love the Jewish people. Love is not something we say, it is something we do.” I have never forgotten those words. This Sunday is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day set aside to remember the six million Jewish people, over one million of them children—who perished during the Holocaust.

We are working to show this love in practical ways through our humanitarian outreaches to the poor of Israel. We are also working to share the true stories of Christian love from the past with the Jewish people for generations to come—stories like the amazing courage and sacrifice of the ten Boom family in Holland.

Since 1988 when I purchased and restored the ten Boom home with the help of our Jerusalem Prayer Team members, the doors have been open at no cost. Every dollar raised goes directly to that work. I am the Chairman of the Board, and I pay all of my own expenses—flights, meals and hotels—because this message must be told. It is the purest work we can do. And though we continue to tell this story in Holland, we must tell it in Israel as well. Your gift today will help us reach out and minister to the Jewish people and tell them and show them true Christian love.
When you send your gift of $30 or more today, we will send you a paperback copy of my newest novel, The Locket.
Set during the Holocaust, it is a gripping story of love, courage and loss. This book follows the life of a young Jewish girl who finds out that the “boy next door,” Adolf Eichmann, has grown up to be the architect of Hitler’s “Final Solution.” It will challenge and stir your heart…and it also makes a great gift for a friend or loved one. If you are able to send $80 or more, we will send you an autographed, hardback copy of The Locket.
And if you are able to send $100 or more, we will send you The Locket paperback copy and this beautiful color “Comfort Ye My People” afghan.
It is a lovely piece that will both decorate your home or office, as well as share your love for the Jewish people with all who see it.
Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today. Your gift of support for the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we stand with and for Israel and the Jewish people is your personal declaration of “never again!” As we remember those who perished in the past, we must do everything in our power to ensure that this great tragedy is never repeated. Your gift makes it possible for this great worldwide prayer movement to continue at this crucial and prophetic moment in history.

I thank you living and eternal King; great is your faithfulness.

Christian ministry in Jerusalem - update

"A few years ago I was asked to speak at the ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem when Casper and Betsie ten Boom were added to the list of the Righteous among the Nations. They were recognized for their courageous and heroic sacrifices during the Second World War. They risked and eventually gave their lives to save more than 800 Jewish people from the death camps. It was one of the greatest honors of my life.
Casper ten Boom was in his 80’s when the Gestapo arrested him after the family was betrayed. The police told him he could go home and die in his bed if he would promise to stop helping the Jews. He said, “If I go home today, tomorrow I will open my door to anyone who knocks and asks for help. It would be an honor to give my life for God’s Chosen People.” After ten days in prison, he died. This is the story of Christian love for the Jewish people…but it is one most of the Jewish people have never heard.

Mike Evans, you don’t believe in NO” the Israeli colonel said to me

 Update by Mike Evans

Jerusalem Prayer Team
"Seventeen years ago, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. I remember praying and being led of God to go to Israel to comfort his friends and family. I had no official invitation, but I went anyway. Security for the funeral was unbelievable. Thousands of security officials were on hand to guard the nearly 200 world leaders gathering, including President Clinton and former Presidents Carter and Bush (41).
My flight was delayed, so when I got to the airport, I got a cab and asked to be taken to Mt. Herzl where the funeral was being held. The driver said it was impossible to get near there because of security. I said, “You drive—I'll pray.” As we got closer, I saw the roads were deserted. We reached a security checkpoint, and an Israeli colonel yelled at the cab driver to turn around. I rolled down the window. He recognized me and said, “Mike Evans, you don't believe in no!” He waved us through the checkpoint.

We passed three more security checks. Each one required two sets of credentials to pass, and I didn't even have one set...yet God continued to open the doors for me until I was standing at the service just a few feet away from the world leaders. Suddenly an official from the Prime Minister's office rushed up to me. He said, “Please don't tell anyone you breached our security and got in without your credentials.” He told me they had sent credentials for me to the hotel where I was to stay, but since I hadn't had time to go there, I didn't get them.

But it didn't matter; through prayer, God miraculously opened every door to get me where He wanted me to be. I've shared this story with you today to encourage your faith...and I am asking you to join me right now in praying for a miracle so that we can make the final payment on the Jerusalem World Center. The demons of Hell are screaming, “No!” but I believe all of Heaven is shouting, “Yes!” Will you be part of that Yes today?

A dear friend has stepped forward to match your gift today. In other words, if you give $77,777.77, it will be doubled to $155,555.54. Or if you give $777.77, it will be doubled to $1,555.54. If you give $77.77, it will be doubled to $155.54. This is a huge answer to prayer! Please know that whatever you can give will also be doubled in Heaven in your Kingdom account.

Thus far 1,910 people have given $239,270. Please pray with me right now for supernatural favor that this need will be met.
I urgently need your help right now to make the final payment on the Jerusalem World Center. This beautiful building will be the largest property in the nation of Israel to be owned by US Bible-believers. It will be the first Christian museum in the nation to tell the story of Christian love, such as that of Corrie ten Boom's family in Haarlem, Holland. Their home was purchased in 1987 and restored in 1988 and is open today because of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and friends like you. I serve as chairman of the board.

In addition, this wonderful building in Jerusalem will be the headquarters for the Jerusalem Prayer Team worldwide. It will provide round-the-clock prayer for Jerusalem and the Jewish people in fulfillment of prophecy, and it will be the address for compassionate Christians who are reaching out to serve poor Jewish souls.

“I will bless those who bless thee...” (Genesis 12:3).

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6).

You and I are part of something that has eternal significance in the city on which the spotlight of Heaven shines. Heaven and earth met in Jerusalem and will meet again. Everything began prophetically and will end in the only city in the world in which God wrote His name.
When you support the Jerusalem Prayer Team as we stand with and for the Jewish people, you are in agreement with God's heart. You are supporting and blessing “the apple of His eye.” And because of that, you WILL receive His blessing! And your support is so urgently needed right now. I am asking you today to show your support by helping us make the final payment of $777,777.77 on the Jerusalem World Center and respond to the great threats facing Israel.

I am so excited about what God is already doing, as we continue to work to complete the purchase of this wonderful building. I cannot wait to see what He is going to do next! I ask you to join me right now in a prayer of blessing on every loving heart who has responded to help meet this urgent need, and I ask that you prayerfully consider what God would have you do to help us reach this miracle.

Jerusalem is Ground Zero for spiritual warfare in our world today. It is the target of the enemy, and it is vital that you and I do our part to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but to speak out in support of Israel's right to her capital city. One of the most important tools for us to fight and win this battle will be the Jerusalem World Center. This wonderful facility in the Holy City will be a lasting witness of God’s love to the Jewish people and a center of ministry and outreach to them that will truly be life changing.

The Christian Zionist Heritage Center will be the first Christian witness of God’s love of its kind to the Jewish people in the nation of Israel. There are over 300 Jewish museums but not one museum where people can go to hear the story of Christian love. The Jerusalem World Center will also be a place where hurting elderly Holocaust survivors and impoverished Jews can go to receive help. It will be the home of the Jerusalem Prayer Team intercessory movement. This is the largest Christian work within walking distance of the Western Wall. Please be part of this miracle today.
When you send your gift of any amount, we will send you this 2013 Jerusalem Prayer Team calendar.
With your gift of $40 or more, we will send you the calendar and this Scripture promise box. This collection of verses was chosen to build and strengthen your faith. Keep this box on your breakfast table or desk, and it will encourage you as you pray and trust God.
If you are able to send a gift of $77 or more, we will send you the calendar and this unique Jerusalem Compass. Perfect for anyone whose heart is fixed on Jerusalem, this brass compass always points toward the Holy City. It is a wonderful conversation starter to share your love of the Jewish people with others.
If you are able to give $1,000 or more, we will send you the calendar and this “mega-pack” of 13 books, including many autographed hardback best-sellers. This set includes The Revolution, GameChanger, and The Protocols, as well as my newest title The Locket, and many more, along with this beautiful Jerusalem Prayer Team Prayer Shawl.
In addition, your name or the name of someone you wish to honor or remember will be added to the Wall of Righteous Gentiles—a lasting legacy and testimony of your love carved into the stone wall of the Jerusalem World Center.
Everyone who enters the building will see your name and give thanks for your generosity and love. God says, “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:16).
Today I’m asking you to stand up and be counted—to join the line of heroes down through the centuries who have done their part to deliver the Jewish people from destruction. I am asking you to make a generous, even sacrificial gift to help make the Jerusalem World Center a reality and to help the Jerusalem Prayer Team to do all we can to defend the Jewish state and the Jewish people around the world.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.

Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.
